Create your first position

Here's the exact path from a connected wallet to a live position. Nothing is deposited and token allowances stay revocable. You review everything before you sign.

Open your position

  1. 1

    Connect your wallet

On 1inch.com, press 'Connect wallet'. EOAs, smart-contract wallets and MPC wallets all work.

  2. 2

    Open the builder

Go to Aqua and choose 'Provide liquidity', or open the position builder directly from the overview page.

  3. 3

    Pick a pair

Choose from the quick-pick pairs or search the picker. Existing positions for the pair are shown, so you don't double up by accident.

  4. 4

    Choose the strategy type

Straight for a concentrated range, Curved for parity assets. See Strategy types for how to choose.

  5. 5

    Set amounts, range and fee

Allocate amounts (token or USD entry), set your price range or width, then keep the auto fee or set your own.

  6. 6

    Review

Check the opening price, allocation and fee. Aqua warns you if the opening price deviates from market or the position is very small.

  7. 7

    Approve your tokens

The first time you provide a token, the button reads 'Approve' before 'Provide liquidity'. Each approval is one wallet transaction that grants the revocable allowance, so swaps can move that token from your wallet when they fill. Some wallets bundle the approvals into the next step.

  8. 8

    Ship it

Press 'Provide liquidity' to ship the position: one action signs and publishes it on-chain. Your tokens stay in your wallet, and you'll see the position on the overview page.

The builder puts the pair, amounts, range and fee in one screen.

After shipping

Your position starts quoting immediately. Fees land in your wallet as swaps fill and re-back your positions automatically. Track coverage on the overview page, and read the position management guide: Manage & close.
